I currently head the applied research team at Luma AI with the goal of making creative tools accessible. Previously I pursued a PhD in the computer science and electrical engineering department at UC Berkeley. I was advised by Angjoo Kanazawa and Ren Ng and was funded by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program. Before that I completed my undergrad and Masters of Engineering at MIT in the Camera Culture group. My interest include computer vision, computational imaging, and graphics. I am particularly interested in building tools and interfaces that make it easy for anyone to capture, create, and generate immersive worlds. Outside of academics, my hobbies include hiking, backpacking, climbing, painting, and photography.
